Which cpu has best battery life,core 2 duo or amd turion 64 x2?

I want to upgrade my cpu for when i play games that need faster cpus. I've come across a core 2 duo and turion.i care most about battery life and performance. I use apps that take effect my performance. I get okay battery life now,around 3-4 hours on power savings.

Turion 64 has better battery life mainly due to the fact it is designed for laptops, whereas Core 2 Duo is designed for desktops. If you have one of the newest Centrino chipsets for the Core 2 Duo they will be almost the same.
