  1. There is no problem with any of the credit cards in India for Internet transactions, as all stand on the same ground for the purpose, but problems remain with the sites through whom you make payments using your credit cards. It must be a secure payment website, reputed and reliable. The credit card data fed in through these sites is manipulated, accessed and misused by wrong hands, whereas credit cards themselves or their issuing banks have no role in the misuse. You must understand how the transactions take place and processed. One tend to blame the credit card or the issuing Bank for any wrong debits but almost they don't have any role in the misuse taken place.

Further, you said payments for international transactions. Please note that all international transactions' payments are governed by the RBI in India. For making a payment through your credit card, you must have an international credit card issued in the first place itself. For this, you need to check with your credit card issuer and request for an international credit card. Additionally, even if you have an international credit card, your international spending on all such cards are governed by RBI rules. So you must adhere to your foreign exchange spending limits and other rules to avoid any penal and legal action later on.

Stay equipped and updated instead of blaming others later on And enjoy hassle free benefits of your credit cards life long.

  2. Paypal, using Visa.

  3. I think that Pay-Pal is the best, and they do what they can to protect you in every way, I have been using it for over 3 years now and I have never had any problems, I am also a seller on E-Bay and I have never had problems getting my money either.

  4. Many online sellers offer Master Card & Visa Card in India. Still some prefer to have Master Card. Very few sellers are offering other cards like Amex, JCB or other popular cards.

You can find only few sellers which offer debit card in India. Since it costs more for a seller to have a selling agent with Debit card facility and also online bank transfer facility.

Its better to do your shopping with credit card of banks like ICICI, HDFC, Citibank, UTI, SBI. Many other banks are equally good, but I do not have much experience with that. The above mentioned banks have very good customer support.
