  1. If you are going to the Caribbean, Carnival will have a lot of kids and young adults.  It will be a party ship.  You are much better off with Royal Caribbean.

Royal Carribean is more family oriented.  A great kids program, entertainment for all ages, service that can't be beat, much better food, and more activities aboard the ship.  Rock climbing wall, ice skating rink, miniature golf course, golf simulator, wonderful spas and state of the art exercise equipment.

Princess is more for the more mature crowd.  Not such a great kids program and entertainment is geared more for those 60 and older.

I have a web site that has an article explaining the differences in each major cruise line.  It would be a good read for a first time cruiser.  www.SailingTheSea.com.  Scroll down the upper left side and you will find the article.

    Have a wonderful cruise!

  2. Definatly Royal Carribean out of your two choices.but if you don't have your heart set on a destination look to choose norwegian cruise they are a better than both.

  3. Royal Caribbean International, by far. I was on one a week ago and it was the best. The food is great and the service was amazing. Carnival has too many little kids on the ship. Make sure to bring something really nice to the formal dinners!

  4. I have been on a Carnival cruise, and there are a LOT of families. They also have a great kid's club program, so I think that Carnival is the ideal cruise for families.

  5. Which is the best cruise line for your family vacation really depends on what you are looking for in your cruise.

Carnival tends to have better food and programs for kids ages 3 to 17; Royal Caribbean has the extreme activities, depending on the ship -- rock climbing wall, ice skating rink and surf simulator, and also has a good program for kids.

If you're planning to cruise to Alaska this summer, Princess is considered a premium cruise line and has better food, more luxurious onboard features and more extensive programs in Alaska.

If you're planning to cruise in the Caribbean, try selecting a cruise line that has the itinerary you would like and fits your budget.

    Enjoy!

  6. i prefer Princess cruise lines which is owned by Carnival. It is a little classier then Carnival and mostly an older group of people.

  7. carnival cruise lines is a disgrace compared to royal caribbean. i went on carnival victory, and though it was pretty, only one pool was heated (making the other 3 useless cuz you would have gotten frostbite if you went in them), it was dirty (spit hanging from the elevator, people peeing in the pool), and the service wasn't that good. I have also been on royal caribbean, and let me tell you, i can't wait to go again! I had an amazing time and I can't complain about anything! Everyone was friendly and I am still talking to the people I met even though it was 2 years ago! :)

  8. I would say R.C.  Carnival was still very nice and fun, but after doing RC, it was a bit of a let down.  I thought the activities were better ran and done at better times w/ RC (Carnival did them at same time, so you couldn't do them all).  The food was better w/ RC.  We had a lot of trouble w/ Carnival w/ transportation, from airport to hotel and then treated horribly by Carnival when we complained.  The ships on both RC and Carnival were very nice.  The shows were great on both ships, so don't miss them!  You will have a great time w/ either, but I would go w/ RC.

  9. Royal caribbean is definitely better. They have more onboard activities and amenities than carnival. The food and entertainment is of better quality, and the overall service is better.

  10. For families, I think Royal Caribbean is the best choice, especially the larger, Voyager class ships.

  11. Royal Caribbean; ive cruised on Carnival & just by seeing the other RC boats in the ports i have to say that they are far better. Even though they are more expensive they have many more ingenious ideas on their boats which carnival is yet to introduce, like a rock climbing wall, & an ice rink etc.

  12. Royal Caribbean
