Which cruise line is the best? and Caribbean or Bermuda?

I am in New Jersey and would like to plan a cruise for next year out of NY or NJ around Nov.-Dec. 2009. I have 2 younger children, a 19 yr old and my husband. Which cruise line/ships would be best for all of us to enjoy? Someone told me the Carnival is a party ship not for kids and Norwegian was for older people but Royal Caribbean is very pricey.

Also, how much extra money will I need to bring along other than the tip? Also, someone told me a trip to Bermuda is rough because the ship rocks alot, so should I just go to the Caribbean?

Go to the caribbean for sure! I live in Bermuda and there is NOTHING to do but go to the beach so if it rains your out of luck and stuck doing nothing. I don't know what there is to do in the Caribbean but there has to be more that in Bermuda.

I have cruised to Bermuda twice, once on Norwegian and once on Royal Caribbean. Neither of the cruises was rocky. November/December is a great time because its after the hurricane season.

I think that you and family would enjoy a Royal Caribbean cruise much more than Norwegian or Carnival. AND, Royal Caribbean is NOT that much more expensive than NCL or Princess. You have to do two things to get the best price, book very early, and that means a year or more in advance; and look for specials and go on the dates when the price is the lowest. So now is a great time to book a cruise for the end of next year.

I think your best bet is the Caribbean. When my family and I went on a Caribbean cruise it was the perfect vacation. We had a 1 teenager 2 kids and 2 adults from our family. We also went with our friends...but it met everything we wanted out of our vacation and i bet it will for you too!

Caribbean would be a great cruise for you.  Carnival is a party type ship but they do have allot of things for kids to do.  Princess is also another good cruise lines.  If you need further help contact me.  I have a travle agency Thanks, Fred

Go to the Caribbean.  The kids will get bored with Bermuda.  It is more for adults, although it is quite a lovely island.  Moreover, going to Bermuda in winter or late autumn is not a good time of year to go.

Too cold for beaches.

I recommend a Caribbean cruise aboard Royal Caribbean.  In cruises you get what you pay for.  Carnival has party boats with mediocre service, mediocre food and lots of drinking.  Royal Caribbean draws all ages.  I recommend that you fly to San Juan and take their Southern Caribbean or Eastern Caribbean cruise.  They are terrific.
