My 2 Best friends from High school and I have been putting money away for a very long time (it feels like forever!). Our plan is to go on a cruise for our 30th Birthdays sometime in 2010. We should have $AU20000 (around $US18000) for us to share between 3 of us. Plus we are also doing our own independant saving on the side.

We were thinking we want to book at the end of this year to take advantage of the early bird bookings.

We found this one.

But not many stops so I don't know if the others are keen.

Or Caribbian

or One of my friends wants to do the mediterranean. I'd like to do the Adriatic/ argean coast in that area.

I aslo saw those Cippers they look like fun and something different.

I don't really care whear we go as long as it is longer than 10days.

We just need some outside views of experienced cruisers before we start talking to our travel agent.

  1. That one sounds fun.  I also was just on a Carnival Cruise for Spring Break in April.  It was fun I suggest going on their cruise.

  2. Youll have to decide what cruise area you wants to go to. The one stated has its pros (including stops at hawaii). The main ones is that its only one way flight for you. And Qm2 is a good ship after what people says. The mediteranean is also fine but its means one h**l of a flight (30 hours) for you. If you choice the stated one then book as soon as you have choice it. But if youre wants other cruise areas like the mediteranean then I would suggest to book about a year before for the best price/maximum choice combination.

Another suggestion is to book the best cabin you can afford. I mean nothing could outbeat the feeling of having your own veranda on hot days at sea and theyre arent that expencive. Johan.

  3. i sent you a couple of links they will tell you everything you need to know ,what ships to look for ,things to do,where all ships leave from to where there going they will give you all the info you need about each ship hope this will help you pick the right cruise for you good luck in your search

  4. This may not have crossed your mind but how about Alaska ? A cruisetour there is out of this world. You either start with a cruise or landtour. Great Scenery, Top notch lodges, people, food. Before you talk to your travel agent stop by your local AAA office, you do not have to belong and pick up some brochures on where you wish to cruise to. Also consider on which cruise how much time you are seeing nothing but water. The water leads to many great places. You can call 1-800-Princess or Princess.com & ask for a free DVD for anywhere they sail.
