  1. This video makes Royal Carribean look like fun:

  2. I went on a Disney Cruise.  They're extremely kid and teen friendly (though possibly too much so because probably about half the people on the ship were below age 10).  You are not going to get a cruise that doesn't have a primarily non-American crew because of the different work laws and stuff.  It isn't just Hispanics either, it's people from all around the world.  Out dinner servers were from South Africa, Denmark, and the Czech Republic.  If I were to choose something other than Disney, I would probably choose Carnival.  I noticed a lot of young people coming off the Carnival ships also.  Don't think that Disney is too "kiddie" because of the name.  It really is a cruise line for all ages.  They can also show Disney movies that are still in theaters because they own them (i.e. you could watch Wall-E if you were going really soon).  Also I really liked the food; I tried tons of exotic stuff like escargot (it was really good).  My favorite thing was the cold mango soup.

P.S. Disney has their own island in the Bahamas.  The beaches are pretty nice, but it feels really artificial.  Also, try to go on a cruise that doesn't go to Key West because it isn't a fun place for people under 21 to visit and not fun for anyone during the day (nightlife is the main attraction).

  3. There are several cruise lines that you would find fun and lots of people your age to be with.  The least expensive would be Carnival.  As for your friends saying that there is a lot of Mexicans on board, what difference would that make?

  4. AT your age I don't think that Disney would be your speed, plus Disney is more expensive than other cruise lines.  The cruise line that has the most on-board activities for someone your age would be Royal Caribbean and the ships that you should look for cruises on are the RC's Freedom Class and Voyager Class ships:

You can look at the features of these ships on these two web links:

    Freedom Class:

    Voyager Class:

Both of these type ships have ALL of what you want and more. Things like ice skating, roller blading, mini-golf course, a full sized basketball/tennis court, a program for kids and teens called Adventure Ocean that includes a special area on ships just for kids and professional staff persons to supervise them in free programs all day.  The ships have a teen disco that is open until 2:00 AM every evening.   I have cruised on both of these type ships multiple times and they are fabulous. The Voyager class ships are a somewhat smaller version of the Freedom class and have a few things that are different.

You can get cruises on these ships out of Port Canaveral, Ft Lauderdale, and Miami, Florida and also out of Puerto Rico.

  5. Carnival would be your best bet. Disney is more expensive and caters towards younger children.  Carnival is a great value, fun, has a vast array of age groups, and also leaves from alot of nearby ports.  I don't see why which race is onboard should matter.  What the Mexicans can't enjoy a cruise too?  Remember cruise ships are full of all different kinds of races and nationalities.

  6. Royal Caribbean

  7. For you:

    Royal Caribbean International

    Carnival Cruise Lines

    Norwegian Cruise Lines

    and at a long shot

Celebrity Cruises (more expensive and up class)
