Hi, we're a 27 and 28 year old couple and we want to go on our first cruise while passing through the US (on the way home from the UK) in early/mid March. We're thinking Carribbean is the obvious choice, niether of us has been there. Celebrity or NCL 7 day ones look good but our main concern is that our cruise will be mostly seniors or families with small children. We also would prefer shore trips with some kind of cultural experience rather than just beach resorts. We enjoy good food and wine, and a good night out without too much of a hangover. Any recommendations (or warnings!) from personal experiences much appreciated.

  1. There are so many different cruise lines out there.  First let me start by saying in no way do I work for Carnival Cruise Lines but, I mention them because of their outstanding service.  If you do your research on Carnival you will see that they offer very specific activities for each ship that sails.  You can pick the ship that offers the most activities that you will enjoy.  When I researched our cruise I used the following search engine and found their prices to be very competitive, maybe you can find a great deal there also.  Check out this link: www.travelmonkies.org.  Good luck!

    Be well

  2. go on a cruise around the carabien.

  3. So many to list down.... try one for the youngsters party types.... Royal Caribbean and star cruises gives some good ones

  4. Try Royal Caribbean. They have some really good 7 day Caribbean itineraries. Plus there ships are nice, updated with a lot of activities, and the service is good. You also find a good mixture of age ranges.

  5. I would recommend Carnival if you want to have most people your own age. I think that if you are ok with have some people your own age but most in their 40's, from what other activities you have selected I would recommend Princess. They have more culture actvities and wine than Carnival and less kids. But either line you choose you should have a wonderful time. The Western Caribbean has more history in Mexico than the Eastern Caribbean, but their is alot of history and culture in Puerto Rico.
