On 7/24, I had a D&E because of a blighted ovum. My doctor said we could start trying again as soon as I got my period back. I got it back. My question is when did I get it back? I started getting cramps and spotting on the evening of 8/13 and it was a full-blown period on 8/14. It's just finishing up today. Should I count from the 13th when it was just spotting that started at 10:00pm or should I count from the 14th when it was actually bleeding? Thanks for all your answers!!

  1. spotting doesnt count so day 1 is when a full period starts.after a miscarriage it is the most easiest to get pregnant because everything is still fresh but i was advised by my gyne to wait for 2 periods for mental and physical reasons.also after a m/c you may find that your cycles are different and may be longer or shorter than b4 the m/c.chart your temperature and do opk's to find out for sure.i used to have a reg 28 day cycle then after m/c its now 29-31.

  2. Always count the first day of 'full flow' as CD1. The spotting doesn't count. Good luck!!!

  3. count from the 13th then start having s*x every other day during your time of ovulation good luck

  4. I have always heard that the actual first day of your period is on the day where you begin BLEEDING and spotting should be discounted. I would especially think this if the spotting happened so late in the day on the 13th. I would count from the 14th is I were you. Good Luck and baby dust!

  5. Full flow as day 1...so count 8/14 as day 1 and that would make today day 5 of cycle.

    Good Luck and Baby Dust!

  6. First two responses are right.  Dr's don't consider it your period until you have full flow, so the 14th would have been your first day.
