is better because of the control aspect

Both decks are great.  Personally though, I always had problems trying to run Macro Monarchs.  I always put the right cards in it, but it never ran the way it should have.  The second deck is more like the one I play.  Of course it has slightly different cards in it, but still works.  Try running Spell Striker or Fiends Sanctuary.  Monarchs are all about Special Summons.  I try to add alot of cards that can be Special Summoned.

Monarchs are very hott right now. You may want to take out a cyber dragon and put in another spirit reaper or dd warrior.
