your anti metagame deck (first one) might do well. and if it does it will be teh talk of the town. if built correctly it can take on dad semi regularly and other rush decks like glad beasts and six samurai.

your second one will do better against light sworn, diamond dude turbo and perfect circle, but since the updated ban list ddt and perfect circle are pretty much out already. problem with out of play is most fast decks thrive out of play. it pretty much wont phase dad or other return decks.

seeing how dad still makes up for over half the national tournaments i would think they dominate regionals also. dominate as in amount of players using them not ppl winning with them, because the recent sjt were won by glad beasts. but there are still a lot of ppl running dad. so i would use teh anti metagame deck.

i would fix the side deck to take on dad, gb, 6 sam. so you need shadow-imprisoning mirror, kinetic soldier, dd crow, fossil dyna pachycephalo and a light imprisoning mirror for lightsworns.

The 2nd, less dead draws, more beatsticks.  only thing I'm not so sure about is the spy... walling don't seem to be an issue when u got undead DDs

Through personal experience I can tell you that gadget decks were feared most at my last regional. DD monarchs are good, but like someone said before me, the gadget oppression stops some big fears like gladiator beasts and six samurais, sometimes we really underestimate the power of grandmasters and Heraklinos.
