I am planning on going on the Carnival Valor next year.... For anyone who has been on this cruise or on another cruise, what deck would you recommend with the least amount of noise and the LEASE MONEY POSSIBLE??? (Interior only, nothing else)!

  1. An inside cabin is quite difficult to get right, you need to pick one that has cabins above yours, no swimming pool, bars or deck areas.

The centre of the ship, midships, is normally the quietest, further away from the noise of propellers, thrusters and winches.

The higher up the decks you go, the less intrusive noise, but they are more expensive.

As you are thinking of booking now for next year, you could try a  "Guarantee" or "TBA" means that you will receive your cabin number and deck assignment when you check in for your cruise. You will be guaranteed a cabin in the category you book but no lower than that category. If that category is not available when you check in, then you will receive a complimentary upgrade to a higher category. This process is very similar to booking a hotel room. With a hotel, you book a room type and you're assigned your room number when you check in.

This is the cheapest way to cruise, but you could end up anywhere on the ship. its a gamble you take.

Here's a link to choosing a cruise ship cabin that might help.

  2. I would pick an cabin as high up as you can afford. I would also pick a cabin on the cabin deck rather than the entertainment deck since the risk that you is disturbed off late night noices from the disko is much less there. So choice one as high up as you can afford. And if the prices are reasonable nothing, except a balcony, can beat the fealing of looking at the ocean through your own window... Johan.
