  1. I have two RCA 800. They're ok, reception, user friendly controls, will not consume space because it can stand vertically..comparing it with DIGITAL STREAM..mm, RCA costs $49 in Walmart while DIGITAL STREAM is $59 in Radioshack. With my $40 coupon, I only paid $11 for RCA.

  2. If I HAD to buy a converter box, I would go with the RCA DTA 800, but, if I had an extra 200 bucks, I would go ahead and buy a

replacement tv. You can get much better quality with less hassle. No matter what people may tell you, you will lose quality going through the converter box.

  3. I would reccomend Digital stream dtx 9900,, Im a proud owner of one and cant find a single complaint about it.. The only thing that would prevent a perfect picture,, would be the type of antenna your using or the distance of the transmission tower,, I can get every available channel in my area from 60 miles away,, one suggestion though would be to use the rca video/sound hook up on the back of the dtv converter to the tv (if so equiped) rather than than the cable rf feed line,, I plan on getting 3 more of them,, for the extra 10 bucks,,"imo" it was worth it,,, great remote control !!,,, you wont like the rca remote,, and also while im at it,, the dtx9900 has full channel menu for whats on and when.......... you wont be dissapointed.
