  1. Funai HDD without a doubt, easy to use, very reliable, and not too expensive. I got mine from eBay and have had no problems whatsoever.

  4. just get the cheapest one that will do what you want it to

  5. TiVo is easiest to use.

  6. For Freeview I find the Inverto is best.
