If you'd like to try a wonderful dessert, I would suggest macarons. They have a French and Italian variety...but the French is much better. It's like a crunchy, soft, sweet but not too sweet, tastebud explosion! It helps that they are sooooo cute!

You may want to try:

Soufle

This avacado salad garnished with herbs and olive oil

and

for breakfast:

French coffee (French vanilla is fantastic)

with croissants and apricot jam,  bread or rolls with butter,  and an omelette with ham and gruyere cheese

Id say a coq au vin, duck confit, creme brulee or a dessert with chocolate.  

In the morning, Id go for some fresh-baked bread.

Stay away from the haute cuisine, it's overrated and in some cases quite disgusting.
