  1. Any of the central arrondissements will do but the 5th and the 6th are where I usually stay.

There are a vast selection of hotels and prices vary from the not unreasonable to the insanely expensive.

For a honeymoon I think you'd like the Hotel Left Bank Saint Germain. Its in the 6th arrondissment in a very convenient location. Their webpage is an accurate depiction of the hotel. Its small and yet has all the amenities.http://www.paris-paris.com/hotel_left-ba...

The area is very lively and within a few blocks you can find everything from quite famous places like the Cafe de Deux Magots where Sartre used to hang out to convivial little places patronized by art students from the nearby École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts.

  4. You can search and choose hotel information, rates and availability for free in over 200 countries world wide at my profile.

  5. The 1st is the most centrally-located.  I also like 3rd & 5th.  I like Citadines properties because I like to have the little kitchenette.

  6. The best area for hotels in Paris is , to my opinion. You can go to Scoobit.com, the hotel search engine at http://www.scoobit.com Switch the language to English, then fill the form with city name (Paris) and "champs elysee" as address. Then click on "Search".  Choose the second link. I went to Villa Mazarin and have the best of times. Feel free to choose the hotel that best fits your needs. It's a safe website I've used many times so far, and you can book on line. You can use the link I gave you also to find a hotel in Paris.
