Which do you like better for baptism of my son (he'll be 5 months)? Want more opinions, thanks.?

I think I have it narrowed down to two.

This victorian one (probably in the longer length): http://www.victorianrevival.com/devon.ht...

And this eyelet one, with a white ribbon instead of purple (scroll down about half way to get to it): http://roses-and-teacups.com/heirloom-go...

My mom thinks the eyelet is too girly. She's also really pulling for a dupioni silk one from a store at home. Pretty, but for some reason I am drawn to the heirloom cotton style with lace and with a slip underneath. And before you comment on the price, I know these are expensive, but I want to buy something that will be used with all my children and hopefully grandchildren too. Thanks!

  1. For a boy I like the victorian one. I agree with your mother the eyelet one is too girly for him. I might even consider this website for when my child/children gets baptized.

  2. I LOVE them both!! I do think i like the first one more..who cares what the price is, it's worth every penny! Especially if you are going to use them more than once. I hate the cheesy polyester type fabric ones they sell at the stores!!! And the suits are kind of q***r...they aren't little men..they are babies! He's going to look gorgeous in one of these!

I wrote to you the other day, we used one that my MIL bought over in Ireland. Def a gown is best for both boys and girls!

  3. I like the solid white one on this page its like the first one. http://roses-and-teacups.com/heirloom-go...

especially if you want to save it its beautiful and universal.

  4. HAS TO BE VICTORIAN, ESPECIALY A BOY. NO CONTEST.

  5. the first one. it wouldnt be my choice but i had a girl so thats why. this is my girls baptism gown:

and this was what she wore for the party after:

you cant see it too well but its a cream party dress with lil rosebuds under the lace skirt and a little cardigan with sequined detail round the edges.
