FYI, when they are running one window it's called "short till," where the person is taking orders, getting the cash, serving, and removing the order from the computer. if done correctly it can be faster. usually, though, its not.

One window definetly its faster than two and wastes less gas.

I like two because then there are more people working on your order and neither one of them has all the pressure. Although there is a higher likelyhood of getting your order wrong, but I have found they are pretty good about it.

I prefer drive thrus with two windows. Some say you get your food faster with one, but I have always found the opposite to be true.

This is due to the fact that it takes time to be rung up and for that person to take your money and place it in the drawer and most times my order is waiting at the second window.

one you can pay and get ur food at the same time. Instead of paying waiting for a recipe then getting change and going to next window getting food.......ect........

I like them either way. Our Mcdonalds has 2 windows, one for paying and one for getting your food. But sometimes it can be a hassle when they are giving you your change back they are giving your food at the same time. I like to put my money in my purse where it belongs first , then I can reach for my food.

Well we have Checkers/Rally's and I don't know sometimes it's faster and then on other nights if their is only one person on windows then it's slower so it's a great question. Just depends on when you eat there really

ONE!!!! u dont see restaurants with 2 windows hardly at all anymore.  but then again, it seems more sanitary that the person that is taking your money and handling other ppls money is NOT the one handling your food!
