Which do you prefer, the Aeneid or the Iliad?

I hated both at school, I had to translate them from latin. I read them both later on and enjoyed both thoroughly. It is a bit like asking which is better Dickens or Shakespeare really.

The Illiad, by far. A coherent story line with a dramatic arc.

The Aeneid isn't even really finished, just a random collection of stories. Although the sections on the sack of Troy and the underworld were cool.

The Iliad rocks!!! -- the gods all interfering in the war, the Trojan horse, the rage of Achilles.  It's just more compelling for me.

Homer is my home-boy.

The Iliad of course  !

The Aeneid is just a a story about what Aeneas done after the conquer of Troy (as a story it's after the Iliad).
