Which do you prefer? Ballatore Gran Sppumante or Martini & Rossi Asti?

My boyfriend and I are moving in together on August 1st. Neither of us are sparkling wine/champagne drinkers...but want to do something special to mark the occasion. After searching Answers, I have found that people generally recommend either Ballatore Gran Spumante or Martini & Rossi Asti for first time sparkling wine drinkers looking for something cheap. Now that I have narrowed it down to these two, which would you recommend? Which do you prefer? Thank you!

  1. Just, eeeeww.  Spend the extra 20 bucks and get a bottle of Moet.  Mark the occasion properly!


  2. The Asti is very sweet (for my taste) so I would go for the Spumante
