Which do you prefer camping in a tent or a caravan/motorhome???

Question

I go in a tent every year because my parents don't want a caravan or motor home :(. But i went in my freinds which was very good cause u dont have to walk a mile to get to the toilet. Although when you are in a tent you get the true camping feeling...and a wet head after a storm...

Tent

Camping is about "roughing it" and going without what you don't really need. I don't use electric hook ups either.

But to each his own. I know there are some people that would rather not camp at all, rather than sleep in a tent. So the motor home or RV is roughing it to them.

I agree with Josh. Raining down, and feeling the breeze inside the tent. It's great.

I camp in a Pop Up Camper. I have the luxury of AC and heat and I don't have to sleep on the ground. However, it's not like camping in an apartment on wheels. We cook outside and use the state park showers. We only sleep in the pop up. On nice evenings you can unzip the canvas and it's like sleeping in a tent. We tent camped for a long time, but this is can't be beat.

Camping in a caravan can be good you know because of the better resources ect. but camping in a tent feels more like camping and is alot more fun. Expecialy when it rain and you can here the rain pounding down on the top of the tent! :D LUXURY! XD

We are a family of 5 and we have been tent camping for years and love it. The only alternative we will even discuss is possibly going to a pop-up tent trailer just so we can extend our camping season a bit with the use of the heater and being off the ground if there's snow. I would never consider an RV (full size trailer or motorhome). That's just weird and obtrusive.

i do both but the tent i think is the best because even though you walk a little ways for the bathroom you can pack up and travel around without worrying about gas and stuff for the motorhome. Def like tent better
