Which do you prefer for camcorder? Single sided or double sided?

I just got a handycam and am figuring out what discs to get. I'm leaning towards getting a DVD RW but am not convinced of single or double sided? Which do you prefer?

  1. If you are considering editing your video, you will not get a DVD based camcorder. Their video is the worst (most compression).

    Next best are hard drive or flash memory camcorders... they are MUCH better - video quality - than DVD.

    BUT, miniDV tape continues to provide the best available video quality because of the least amount of compression on the digital video stored on the tape.

    PLEASE do not get a DVD based camcorder.
