Do you support g*y marriage? Why or why not? What makes it so wrong or so right in your eyes? Why is that so important to you or not so important to you? Say if our president was homosexual or a L*****n, how would you feel?

Again if you do not like or feel comfortable with this answer you could press the back button or X out of this window. No one is FORCING YOU to answer this question and no one is FORCING YOU to READ or ANSWER this. I will not be saying my side on the matter till the end.

  1. I support g*y marriages because I think the people should  have a right to whatever orientation and are not doing anything wrong. It makes it right in my eyes because in the constitution we all have equal rights. If the our President were to to be g*y then I think it  would mean that our country has moved past the sexual orientations of people and look at what they are standing for. Just like now we are moving past the race with president Barack Obama.

  2. I support it....everyone should have the opportunity to be miserable with their special someone :)

  3. im ok with it. both. it doesnt really matter cuz g**s are the same as straights. just that they like the same gender. i dont see the big deal

  4. I support people, regardless of their sexual preferences: straight/g*y/bi

However, I would rather not call a civil union between two people of the same gender a "marraige". I believe that union should be afforded all the legal rights of a traditional marriage, but should be called a civil union. (or some other term). We can let "marriage" remain man and woman, and still respect GLBT folks rights. For example, I believe two partners should be able to make end of life decisions for one another, which they cannot now. That right now goes to a family member, who may or may not have even been speaking to the (dying) person. That person's partner should make the decision, just as a married couple. I believe the civil union should represent a commited, monogamous relationship, afforded all the accompanying rights as marriage. I also think this is one way unions would be more acceptable to conservatives. We don't have to call it marriage to legitimize a loving, monogamous relationship. Who are we to say what love is?

  5. g*y people need the rights and privileges of marriage. They need respect for their relationships, and protection for their children.

The fact that you are asking for a respectful discussion gives away your side - respect implies accepting the choices of others when those choices don't involve you.

  6. Absolute support. Why shouldn't everyone have the right to marry the person they love? And every human deserves the same legal and civil security bestowed on every other citizen.

  7. I Support It. Why should Any Politician Be able too tell us what we can and can not do.

    I hate Government.

  8. I support g*y marriage.  Equal is equal, it is very simple.  People who do not like g*y marriage should mind their own business, its none of their business who other people marry.  How would they like it if somebody wanted Big Government to dictate who they could marry?   Especially on bogus religious grounds, viz, no churches are required to perform or even recognize g*y marriage, yet they lie that they are.

  9. Well, I think g*y marriage should be legal. It's funny how the first amendment says freedom of religion when we are clearly forcing religion on homosexuals by not letting them have the same rights as heterosexuals.

  10. I definatly support g*y marriage. Who am I to judge people based on their sexual orientation. I actually refuse to get married until the same rights are given to homosexuals. Its impotant to me because my brother is g*y and even though he says he doesn't like the thought of marriage he should still have the choice. I'm all about choices. lol. And if our president was homosexual I'd be very proud to be an american. :D

  11. yes, of course i do. i mean, i AM engaged to a girl and i am again, a girl, myself, so that's a g*y marriage... why wouldn't i support something i'm in? or, well be in that is, we're getting married when we're 25.

marriage is about love, nothing else matters. oh, dude, u have to hear this poem on it, hold on.... i'll get the link.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHaw3SRL-...

i absolutely LOVE that poem. i'll eeven quote some of it randomly. lol

also, i don't believe in g*y rights, or women's rights, i believe in EQUAL rights.

and i'm always saying we need a g*y, atheist president. this land was founded on religios freedom, yet here we are ruling on the beliefs of a single religion as the law. it's wrong.

my opinion on this is very important to me because i have a ton of g*y friends. and straight friends. they are both my friends. why shouldn't they both have the right to be happy with who they want?

  12. i don't mind g*y marriage at all.. i think that every1 should have equal rights.

however, i personally think that marriage is very insignificant and unimportant, whether g*y or straight marriage...

i don't think that a piece of paper is a prove of love... but i do believe that those people who would like 2 get married, they should have no problems 2 do so. that should be noone business but the people who are actually going 2 marry, 2 guys or 2 girls married shouldn't hurt any1.. therefore i don't see why people should mind.

having a g*y or L*****n president... the same... i don't think that a person's sexuality makes u who u r... g*y/lesbians have their own mind they have their own personality, and ideals... and many of those ideals may be very beneficial for the country... as long as they would be willing 2 help the country to keep moving forward and make decisions that would be beneficial for the nations... their sexuality should be noone business but their own...

  13. I honestly don't care.

I can't imagine anything less important than whether a couple of total strangers want to get married (regardless of age, s*x, color, etc...).  And...I really don't ever hear a 'real' argument on either side of this issue. I mean, the g**s really have very few reasons for wanting to legalize marriage, and the conservatives have very few reasons for wanting to ban it.  It all just seems so silly.

  14. I support g*y marraige because it is wrong of our states and country to discriminate against g*y people who want to join in marriage.  It doesn't affect the straight people or damage their sacred man/woman marraige.  They are just paranoid and want to keep g*y people from being happy.

I'm sure everyone in this section is going to support g*y marriage.

  15. People are people first and most important.  What their sexual preference is should not matter to everyone.  It's a personal choice in my opinion.
