I am aware of new caravans from companies like Carlight, Vanmaster and Airstream (UK specs'), but i would be grateful of any others. Or if you think one of these is the best and most prestigious make then let me know.

  1. The Carlight is generaly regarded in the caravan world as the "Rolls Royce" of caravans.

( Although ,in my opinion, that means its over priced, looks like a shed on wheels, and is overated ! )

  2. Get the caravan owners magazine or the caravan club one. You will find reviews on the latest models.

It really is down to personal choice and what you expect from a caravan. I like the Avondale Dart with 2 diners. It is spacious and roomy.

However, we have a 3 berth Elddis Typhoon XL with end wash room top of the range model. But If I had the choice again I would go for a 4 berth with 2 diner.

You have to take into consideration don't you the weight and the towing capacity and BHP of the vehicle so the lighter the van better it is if you only have a car and not a 4X4 with which to tow.

We have a car Mondeo.....won all the awards for top towing car this year again, but the Elddis is a heavy old van and we

would have been better off with a Bayliss as they are light weight in comparison.

Go to www. caravanclub.co.uk  I'm sure you can just browse this website without becoming a member.

Some of the new vans have the lastest cookers etc, but some how the upholstery in some is very gaudy and horrible.

Consider second hand...nice clean and not smelly...some are really pongey though. Makes me wonder if some people ever wash.

  3. nothing prestigious about a few sheets of plywood on some wheely bin wheels,

owners need to be tested with trailers before being alowed to drive on the road

    gad awful  things
