Well, I'm about to buy a dirtbike soon, for my 13th birthday but I've only ridden on one about four times on my friend's track in his backyard. I've decided I really want to start riding, so I need to figure out what type of dirtbike I should get. Some people say the Honda CRF 150 would work for me, but others say I should get a Yamaha TTR 125 for a first. I'm totally lost. Which bike would be better for me??? I'm about 5' 5", and from 110-120 lbs. HELP!

  1. Both the ttr125 and the crf150f are pretty much alike in that they are both basic trail bikes.  If the track you are going to be riding will involve jumps or if you are intending upon racing those bikes are not for you as the suspension is not set up for jumping and they are not suitable to race.

For just knocking around on and a first bike either would be fine although make sure you sit on one first as if you are likely to have a growth spurt soon and could be really tall (depending upon your parents) then you may like to factor that in as for both of those bikes you would not really want  to be any taller than you are now.

If you are thinking of racing you could look at the race version of the 150cc which is the crf150r
