  1. ummm why would you do this? more intimidating fast and has a harder bite  pressure? you want inoscent people to be hurt? good lord you dont need a dog to "watch" for you. you have a dog to love, be friendly and love you and they will return the favor.

  2. Bite pressure is unique to individual dogs regardless of breed. How intimidating the dog is will vary upon whichever individual you ask. Some might not be intimidated by dogs at all. Both are very fast.

Get an alarm system or a gym membership. Learn to defend yourself rather than relying on an animal to do it for you.

  3. i would say german sheperds because police use them and those things can be vicious

  4. gsd has a higher bite higher than the pitt i think the only dog higher than a gsd is a rottwieler but i would get a gsd!

  5. The individual dog with the larger jaw muscles will have the harder bite pressure, regardless of breed.  If you look at the average bite force of either breed it will be pretty much identical.  Both breeds can be very fast and bite with a firm, hard grip...just ask anyone who plays the dummy for shutzhund or bite work training.  Personally I don't find either one intimidating.  Bite pressure is NOT more important because a dog bite will hurt regardless of if there is a minuscule difference in bite pressure.

  6. No, guard dogs don't bite, they bark to warn you.

Dogs are NOT security systems! Get used to it!

ADD- Where I live, it doesn't matter whether or not someone is on your property or not, if they get bit by your dog, YOU are liable.

  7. You don't want advice and that is terrable because you sure need it.Don't get any dog you are not what good dog ownership is about. Put bars on your windows and get an alarmTilks Mom

  8. Doberman's are faster but i would assume the bite pressure is about the same as their mouths are of similar size.

  9. dobermans are, however german shepards are more family oriented dogs and when they love their family they can be just as fierce as a doberman.

  10. Neither.

    both are good family pets!

MOST dogs are good family pets

if you want a guard dog then you are some little weenie that makes a dog hurt someone instead of you hurting someone!

that dog could turn on you

if you come home in the middle of the night there is a chance it can think your a stranger and hurt you

there is a 80% chance the dog could get hurt

so make a dog your pet, not your guard

  11. The Doberman hands down.

  12. I think GSD

  13. I'm not even going to get into it with the "bite pressure" thing because obviously that shouldnt be an important factor when looking for a dog. But based on LOOKS alone I would say the Doberman looks more intimidating. But please don't get a dog just for guarding purposes. Dogs are supposed to be a lifelong part of the family :)

  14. id say a Doberman

  15. I think it would be a tie between the two, but the question would be how much training the dogs have. Doberman seems like it would be slightly faster, but both are historically good guard dogs.
