I am undecided. I love the one with the lace because it is so simple but I also like the big frilly one. Which do you think for a large 200+ wedding? I am also going to do my hair with a flower in it like the pic with the big dress. what do you think?

  1. Have you tried them both on? You may know as soon as you have tried each which is better.

I favour the second, but it's all about which suits you more! Bring family/friends for the trying on and see what you and they think about how each looks.

  2. They are both beautiful.  If it was the first dress, what color accent are you doing?  They are both more modern dresses though, not really traditional Catholic style.  I think maybe you should try on a few more.  I got my dress at David's Bridal too and they have a lot to choose from.  You'll know the dress when you try it on.  There will be no mistake.  Good luck!

  3. A large traditional wedding deserves a traditional dress.  Agreed the lace one is beautiful but it is more appropriate for a casual (or less formal) wedding.  So, my vote goes for the first dress.

  4. I LOVE the first one, but the second one is more of a summer dress type.  A lot is going to depend on what time of the year your wedding will be.

  5. It would depend mainly on what you want, what you're comfortable in. It sounds like you're going for a "Big" wedding. I would go with #1. It has a nice french bustle and the lace up the back is gorgeous.

  6. For a big church wedding i would say the first one.  It's big and frilly and it would look really good in a church, i should know my first wedding i had a big frilly one...

  7. I Love the second one. It's much simpler but it puts more emphases on you and less on the dress. Best of luck to you and your (future) hubby!! :D

  8. I see your dilemma. They are both very pretty. I am leaning toward the lace one. Have you considered this dress?

It's all lace but is A line so it looks more like a gown.

Or this one - mermaid style http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridal_gowns...

    Good Luck.

  9. I love the larger dress with the pick-up skirt.  My wedding dress had a pick-up skirt and it photographed beautifully.  The other dress seems a bit casual for a large Catholic wedding.  GOOD LUCK!!

  10. the pick up one is beautiful!!!  the other looks like a version of the cocktail dress in Pretty Woman..so negative for a Catholic wedding.  But congrats!!!

  11. Gotta tell you that I love the lace trumpet gown.

    Lovely!

  12. I really like the second one

  13. My best friend and I both had big Catholic weddings and I wore a princess dress with a rose like the first dress and my best friend one like the second! We both were happy and looked great. It all depends on your body type and the theme/setting of the wedding (not so much being a Catholic wedding).

I recommend taking your mom and best friends and see their reactions to each one before you make your decision. Did you try a veil (We both had long veils)? Once I saw the dress with the perfect veil I could not walk out of the store without buying it! Good Luck!

  14. I really like the second one.  I feel it's more of a classic beautiful look that won't go out of style at all.  Think of all those poor brides off the 80s who have to look back on wedding pics of teased hair and puffy sleeves.

    Best of luck!

  15. congratulations!!!! omg!!! umm, i couldn't get access to the first one, but i saw the second one, and i didn't really like it, so probably the first one!!!

  16. I'm not sure if strapless is the way to go for a wedding in a Catholic church(I'd check with the priest if I were you), but between the two I like Number One!

  17. i love the second one, but it looks better with more simple accessories. So if you want to do flowers in the hair, I think the first one.

  18. I think both are really pretty.  I would go with the 1st one though because it looks more formal for a Catholic wedding.  I also like the idea of having a flower in your hair.  Very classic and elegant!  Best wishes!

  19. 2 because it goes with religion

  20. FIRST ONE FIRST ONE FIRST ONE !!!!!! it was so pretty

  21. I think the dress with the pick-up skirt would be more appropriate for a church wedding.  The lacy one seems more like a destination wedding dress, like if you were getting married on the beach or something.  BUT, it's your day so you need to pick the one that you feel the best in!  Good luck!!

  22. I wud say that the first one wud be better for a large wedding.  It is gorgeous, they both are.  The second one looks more appropriate for an outdoor wedding on the beach or something.

  23. I really like the first one its soo pretty.

  24. to be honest, i like them both.

...BUT... the first one is so much more classic.  It is so pretty and I think screams classic "church" wedding.  the other one screams "destination" wedding.

if I were you, i would most definitely choose the first one.  it is so pretty =)

  25. What's the jacket you're going to wear? Or would that depend on the dress? If you have your heart set on a plain one, get the lace dress. If you want a lace one, get the plain dress.

I would strongly recommend a jacket, just a wrap isn't much of a coverup for a strapless dress in a church. And I second the motion to check with the priest, he might, shall we say, strongly prefer a jacket to just a shawl. I don't think any priest would refuse to marry you based on what you wear, but then again, I didn't think that there were priests who would refuse to marry if one of the parties was non-Catholic.

  26. I suggest the big one. It'll be ur only chance to wear a dress of such large proportion.

  27. I don't like either one, they're both a same old same old boring white strapless dress.  Also, I don't think either dress is the right one for you because you are asking other people which one you should get.  When you try on the right dress, you'll know it and won't have doubts.

  28. I like the FIRST dress much better.

To me it is FAR more traditional and former than the second one.

The second one reminds me of an outside beach wedding.

But this is YOUR wedding and YOUR dress, pick whichever YOU like best and whichever you look best in.

  29. If those are the ONLY two choices, then the second one.

If you don't mind, other options -

  30. For a large scale wedding, I like the first one.

The second is beautiful, but with a large Catholic wedding, you may get a bit "lost" in it.
