or

I know these are kind of traditional, but I'm having a very traditional wedding.

Which one?

Thanks!

  1. I personally like first one better. I think the second one looks like every other dress that is popular right now, just too trendy for my taste (with the pick-up skirt). But I won't be the one wearing it! Which one do you feel best in? The most beautiful in? Which one can you picture yourself walking down the aisle in? Choose that one!!

  2. Go with the first one.  It has exquisite work up top.  I think that the gathered skirt of the second one will probably date your wedding pictures in a few years (a la the puffy sleeves of the 80s), whereas the first one is classic.

  3. I guess I'm not going to be in the majority here, but I love the first one!

I agree with the answerer who said that it is a more timeless piece.

We've all seen photos of brides from the early 90s with big puff sleeves and unflattering was tel And so too will we look back at puffy skirts and think "Wow."  While they're both very attractive, I think the first dress is very elegant and will pass the test of time... something your daughter will want to wear!

Congratulations and you'll look lovely in either.

  4. I must say the first one is more timeless. I personally like it more. When I got married I tried on one like the second one and I didn't like the way it looked on me. But you may look good in a dress like that. Also it is your day, and hopefully you only have one so you need to look fabulous in it, hope that helps :)

  5. They are both nice but I vote for #2.

  6. Second one!! First one is just too plain, and I actually wouldn't call it traditional.

  7. I love the first one.. It's much more timeless and what I would call traditional than the second.  The pickups will go out of style and it'll be like the poofy sleeves of the 80s (my personal opinion)

  8. I like the first one better. I like the 2nd one, but the skirt looks kind of sloppy and jumbled.

  9. I love the bodice in the 2nd and the way the design is flowing to the hips

I would add cap sleeves to the first one.I also have never worn tulle as a skirt top so I am wondering about snagging.

A bride knows the moment she puts on the one she wants.

So why not try both styles..

  10. I would definitely pick the second one! I think a wedding gown really should depict your personality! Both are elegant but the second one is more traditional! Good Luck :)

  11. I'm not a super glamour kind of person so I'd say #1. That's the one I'd choose for myself, but #2 is the style these days. So I choose #2

  12. I like the second one better.  It has classic lines and is just lovely.  I'm not a big fan of tule so that also helped my decision.

But the question really is which looks better on you, 1 or 2... It's gonna have to be up to you in the end...and how comfortable they are, how they fit, how you can walk in them and lastly but probably most important...how much they are...Good luck

  13. Most definatly the second one!

    I LOVE that one!

    Congratulations on getting married!

    :)

  14. The first one with the tulle and beading.  It is beautiful!

    Congradulations on your wedding!

  15. The first one, for sure.

But I'm a more modern bride, and I think the tulle has a very ballerina skirt factor to it, and that's very modern, but still traditional.

I'm not into the pin-tucked skirts, so that's why I wasn't too fond of the second dress.

The first one is the way to go if you want traditional and want to be different at the same time.

  16. The second one is gorgeous! You will get sooo many compliments if you wear it. they are both kind of the same but i love the skirt of the second one!

  17. I like the second one.  That netted puff is pretty out of style.  The second one is sleek and beautiful.

  18. I prefer the first one.  The material isn't as shiny, so it won't "show everything" and I also LOVE the rouching on the top.

  19. I think they are both gorgeous; but more importantly; how do they look on you. Are you tall? Do you have a long torso? because if not; you'll get lost in the dress & it'll make you look larger. Some gowns aren't made for shorter brides. If you have the height...both will work in your favor; but my vote is for #2. Congrats.

  20. I like the second one with the pick up skirt. its traditional with a  modern feel. Congrats!

  21. DEFINETLY THE #2.

It's very elegant and beautiful! It will look amazing on you.

    Congratulations.

  22. Funny, I tried on the second one and fell in love with a different one though.  So... the second is my favorite but keep in mind the beading might chafe the insides of your arms and it might turn out to be extremely uncomfortable.  Next time you try it on take a closer look :)

  23. Honestly, I lovee them BOTH ; but I'd say the second one.

it's freaking GORGEOUS! hahaha. you'll get soooooooooo

many compliments on it! Definitely the second one. ♥

  24. well first off, congratulations of your wedding. and both dresses are absoloutely beautiful (too bad you cant take both) but the second is nicer in my opinion.!!

  25. I agree the second one is the best. The first one just looks plain and the second one has more style then the first. So go with the second one, plus it sounds like thats what you really want too. So just go for it. Plus I'm sure you'll look very pretty in the second one.

  26. I think that the two gowns are beautiful.  Yes, they are traditional, but I really think that its up to you. You stated that your having a traditional ceremony.  Here's my view about the situation. #1 dress- stunning, and reminds me of Cinderella. #2 dress- stunning also, reminds me of a elegant ball.  so you should pick which one you would like to attend. And there's your answer.  good luck & Congrats!

  27. I like the first one, but you should pick the one that you feel best about.

  28. I love them both, for different reasons.

The first has an elegant, tradional, retro look to it.

The second is also elegant but with a modern feel.

Sorry to be not much help.

  29. I agree they are both absolutely beautiful! I must say that I do think the second dress is a bit more traditional and sophisticated, while the first one is a bit more princess-like with the tule skirt.  I love them both, but  for a traditional wedding I would choose the second one! Congrats to you  both, may your wedding day bring you many many wonderful memories of a wonderful beginning!

  30. i prefer the first one. i don't like the second skirt bit but thats just my personal opinion.  Make sure you take your bridesmaids along and see which one looks the best on your body and go with that one. As long as you feel like a princess

  31. I think you answered your own question. If #2 is the most like you, then I think you already know in your heart which is the dress for you. But for the record, I like #2 the best; it is gorgeous and I'm sure you look stunning in it. Good luck!
