  1. Michael Schumacher sometimes his car wasnt to good but he is so talented he brings them home to win.

  2. Stirling Moss is the obvious choice but not of my generation of F1 drivers.

    I've never watched him race.

So I will pick Heinz Harald Frentzen, he got close to it with Jordan and against the odds, he was 100% talented for the job, he was not a cut throat racer though and needed the right environment to do it but he could do it and he deserved it back in 99 as much as anyone.

  3. Juan Pablo Montoya, a very badluck driver...

  4. d**n, Rosbif has beaten me,

I say Geheard Berger would of had a chance but was at his peak during the Senna/ Prost show.

I reckon Martin Brundle would of at least won a few races if he wasnt booted out of Benetton so soon.

Tom Pryce was an amazing tallent but was taken away too soon from us. Rip.

  5. Well IMO Damon Hill should have won it more than once

I also agree with Rosbif about DC, he should have had the championship for McLaren

  6. Moss - All the reasons listed before me

Barrichello - Wrong team, that was a Ferrari that wanted one main driver.

Raikkonen - Seven wins in 05 but no championship win. He was so luckless that year, except in Japan.

  7. The obvious one is Stirling Moss... One of the greatest drivers ever, but mainly because of Fangio (especially when they were both at Mercedes) he was never the best in the field... shame...

Jacky Ickx is another legend in motorsport that was twice runner-up (69 and 70) in cars that weren't the best...(if he was in a Lotus 49 (69) or 72 (70) I think he would've been champion)

Gilles Villeneuve came close when Ferrari were still good enough, then died after a couple of years of bad cars and bad luck.. before Ferrari could rise again... Also him and Pironi ruined their own champs (of course we now know that Gilles died and Pironi destroyed his legs... but at the time...)

I suppose Reutemann is another.... but he couldn't be arsed in the last race of 81 at Caesars Palace and gifted the crown to Piquet...

Recently... if it weren't for Schumi, Rubens could've been a double world champ by now... it is sad when you think there are some really great drivers who have missed out due to the fact there were other great drivers who had better luck lol

  8. Rubens would have at least two world titles if not for all the Ferrari team orders.

  9. Stirling Moss 1956, 57, 58, 59, 61 (Fangio, Vanwall's gearbox & driving for Cooper)

David Coulthard 1996, 97, 98, 99 (leaving Williams at the wrong time, then joining "Mika's" team)

Carlos Reutemann 1978, 81 (the Lotus 79 & who knows...he probably doesn't know himself how he lost the title in 1981)

Ronnie Peterson 1973, 1978 (lack of discipline and determination, Jackie Stewart, Mario Andretti)

Jacky Ickx 1968-1974 (right team at the wrong time & Jackie Stewart & Jochen Rindt)

    Rene Arnoux 1983 (Ferrari politics)

Gilles Villeneuve 1979, 80, 82 (too honest & bad car & Alan Jones & Nelson Piquet)

Tony Brooks 1959 (the 1959 USGP organisers cheating so that an American driver would be on the front row of the grid)

Michele Alboreto 1985 (Ferrari politics & Alain Prost)

Dan Gurney 1962-67 (Jim Clark & right team at the wrong time & Eagle)

Didier Pironi 1982+ (big accident in qualifying Germany 1982)

Wolfgang von Trips 1961+ (fatal accident Italy 1961)

Francois Cevert 1973+ (died when he was about to become Tyrrell team leader)

Jean Alesi 1990-1996 (right team at the wrong time)

Chris Amon whole career (bad luck & leaving Ferrari at the wrong moment)
