  1. Go for the Class A. With that you can drive tractor trailer, straight trucks, etc. If you get hazmat, tanker, doubles and triples and passenger endorsements then you will be set to drive pretty much everything from 6 wheelers to tractor trailers with 1,2,3 trailers, tankers, buses, the whole nine yards. You don't have to get all the endorsements right away either. You can do those at any time but I would highly recommend at least starting no smaller than Class A.

  2. Im from UK and have NO IDEA what the CDL is, however for general advice, truck/lorry driving for an international company i.e Panasonic, Samsung etc who sell things that people will keep on buying is a solid job, plus usually the transport departments within these companies don't have to make profit, and its fine if they make losses as its covered else where.

Basic rule of thumb, if people will buy it still, it needs to get to them, someone has to be employed to get it there!
