Which ecosystem would you find a volcano?

Most volcanoes are at the junction of tectonic plates, either rift volcanoes (Iceland, Surtsey) or subduction volcanoes (Pacific Rim).  Others are at hot spots in the Earth's crust (Hawaii).  I have never heard volcanoes mentioned in relation to an ecosystem, except that an eruption wipes it out for some time.

Any ecosystem that is along a plate boundary which is where techtonic plate coverge, diverge, or slide past each other.  You can also find volcanoes at the middle of techtonic plates which is known as a hotspot and is where magma seaps through the crust from the mantle.
