I am looking for an electric guitar that I can play most general styles of music on (rock, blues, etc.) in my free time, I don't plan to do any gigs with it or anything. I don't need anything fancy but I don't want one that's a piece of c**p. Can anyone give me any reccomendations. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

  1. i like the epiphone guitars... any style is good... Les Paul something along those lines.... you can pick one up for around maybe $200 Australian.... if your lucky like me.....

Then to make it sound better spend the smallest amount of extra dough and put some new pick ups in it.... make it sound super sweet for really cheap

  2. Anything by Yamaha or a Danelectro. Personally, If I were on a budget and wanted a new electric, I'd get the Danelectro. They look fantastic and have their own unique sound. If they were good enough for Jimmy Page back in the day, they're good enough for me.

  3. If you don't want "a piece of c**p" then why are you looking for a $100 guitar... anything that cheap is exactly what you say you don't want.

ANY marginally decent guitar will cost $300 to $400 and even that is a bare minimum.
