Which electric guitar should i get if im a beginner. and is only under 200 bucks.?

i was thinking of getting an ibanez electric guitar the grgm21 mikro. BUT when i told my sister she told me to get a acoustic thats very cheap and practice from that till i get waaay better. WHY CANT I PRACTICE FROM AN ELECTRIC?.. I MEAN ITS MY DECISION! :D AND I KNOW A BUNCH OF MY CHORDS ALREADY.. SO I MEAN WHY CANT I JUST GET AN ELECTRIC AND LEARN FROM THAT. thank you for the answers guys!
