  1. Gmail which I use has a limit of 20MB I think.  If your file is larger than that, you might try using one of those free upload services such as rapidshare.

    http://rapidshare.com/

Just upload the file, send the link, and they can download it.

  2. I don't think many email hosts would allow a file such a size to pass through. Most hosts have a size limit, and 18 MB is definitely a lot. Also, it would take a LONG while to load.

If you're sending something to a friend, your best chance is to upload the file to a file storage host, like photobucket or something.

Just search "file store 1 gb" (so you get 1 gb of storage, if you ever want to use it again) on google; I just did. Many different choices.

Then email the person the link; I'm pretty sure they have that option.

Cory: 100 MB is too much. The servers would all crash, if they allowed that, and everyone would be out of communication on the net.

  3. gmail is awesome, and i think the limit on it might be 100 mb or something, never really needed to attach things.

  4. Maximum on most is 10 MB, the highest on any public mail server is 20MB. You would need to check theses limits on their site. NO public server allows 100MB.
