I hope someone have one of this installed in the attic or any one who is knowledgeable on this subject can share their experience.

How much saving is by installing in the attic?

Thanks for reading my questions.

  1. Be careful.  These are not marketed honestly.  A radiant barrier will only affect the heat gain through the ceiling and/or through the duct work that may be located in the attic.

R-30 attic insulation (which you need if you don't have it) will accomplish the same thing for a lot less money.

If you give me the square feet of attic, the region you live in and the current depth of your insulation I can calculate the savings for you using data from the U.S. Department of Energy.

  2. I Carry the only Radiant Barrier insulation that actually has a true R-14.5 Value and is certified by Energy Star.  Its equal to 6 inches of fiberglass insulation.  Most have an assumed R value.  View my 'Total Insulation' product.  I install it using a staple gun inside the attic on the back side of the roof trusses.
