Last I heard the BCCI had pulled the plug on English teams and two Pakistan teams will take their place.

If the BCCI were to change their mind for the umpteenth time and English counties were allowed in then the two finalists of the Twenty20 Cup would qualify. The final of the Twenty20 Cup takes place on 26 July, currently there are 8 teams remaining in the competition - Durham Dynamos, Essex Eagles, Kent Spitfires, Lancashire Lightning, Middlesex Crusaders, Northamptonshire Steelbacks, Warwickshire Bears and Yorkshire Carnegie.
