Muhammad Ali was in not only the best era out of Tyson but the best era of Heavyweights of all times.

The 70s had top Heavyweights like Frazier, Foreman, Norton, Quarry, Chuvalo, Shavers, Lyle and Young just how many of these heavyweights could Iron Mike beat no chance with the first three and would find it tough againest the rest.

Defiantly Ali's era, Norton,Foreman,Frazier,Quarry,Ellis,Bugn... just to name a few.

All Tyson had were the left overs from the Era before him. A waste land of heavyweights with no talent, and the ones that did have talent, Smith,Berbick,Holmes,Mathis where all over the hill.

So without question Ali's era was much better.

And there's no need to say Cassius Clay aka Muhammad Ali, I think the man deserves the right with everything he's done to just be refered to as Muhammad Ali..calling him anything else is disrespectful.

The heavyweights of the 1970s were some of the best ever. In a division historically is not great this was the best era for heavys. Several fighters would have been World champs if they were not in this tough era. Guys like Quarry, Lyle, Shavers and Jimmy Young.

I believe Cassius Clay ( Muhammed Ali )

is and will stay the best for ever.

Some boxers like Sugar Ray Robinson or Carlos Monzon were such beautiful ,but Ali was exceptional.

There was a lot of very good heavyweights in  Ali's era, like Frazier,Foreman,Shavers,etc.  In Tysons  prime, he did not have as much hard  competition . Just lots of average  to good heavies like Bonecrusher Smith and Tony Tubbs.

ive been waiting for a question like this,i think muhammad's was but if ali fault mike tyson it would go to mike cause he would counter ali EVERYTIME,watch ali's fight, throws right counter hook and his feet is all twisted if he misses.
