  3. If you cook it yourself, almost any cuisine can be healthy.  If you eat at a restaurant or buy prepared food, you have  to watch out for too much fat and salt, and an unbalanced diet.

    That said, a lot of health experts recommend the Mediterranean Diet.

  10. It's hard to say what is considered healthy in today's standards of eating and distinguishing the health benefits between cultures of food. Look at the natural raw food itself; the nutrients, fat, vitamins, minerals etc, and the way it is cooked and prepared. Deep frying, steaming, boiling, roasting, or even eating foods raw can make the biggest difference in terms of "health". The Japanese know that the best way of preparing food is simple, and tasteful as it is.
