  1. It could possibly be Ukraine or even Georgia or Armenia !

But that is only for the long term future since we have to absorb new countries which are a challenge close to the US absorbing Mexico... and if you look at it frankly, the EU is doing quite a good job regarding the reconstruction of these countries.

  2. Well before the last ex communist country, joins the EU, I believe that the EU, will have split up.

This will be as messy as when the USSR split up.

Anybody who believes, that the existing EU countries, have the welfare, of all the other members at heart and are not just fighting their own corner, has to be pretty naive.

  3. That's an easy one ----- S*E*R*B*I*A!!

  4. Israel is the last communist nation!

  5. I don't know that but I am sure Albania will be the last state to enter EU.Cheers!

  6. kosovo after getting its independence around jul/aug 2008

  7. Russia will likely join the EU in order not to be left behind in economy.

  8. Belarus.

  9. It sounds to me like you think all the ex USSR countries want to or can become a part of the EU. I on the other hand think that EU has almost reached its limit - now it is time to see if it can carry its own weight, get a constitution, get all countries to vote for the Euro and get certain countries to cancel their specific objections to European politics. If this doesn't happen EU is going to be history within the next few generations or so and then the old mother Russia might have her chance to regain some of its former glory.

  10. Albania - chances are the EU would sooner dissolve than we see Albania as its member state.
