Question:

Which exterior paint color would look best?

I have a redish brick w/black and white roof. Have no idea what color to paint but the pink has got to go... I don't want it to look washed out w/the white roof (brand new.) All the houses around me are white and that's too boring. Any ideas?

  1. I would suggest a very light yellow as a first choice. I ran across a online color visualizationpaint matcher by Benjaman More paints that allows the user to input a base color from different home styles and it suggests accent colors for trim work and other applications you might be interested in trying out & it's free and safe to use.

  2. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" homes look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

    If you're bold, then maybe you'd like something like "tabriz teal" (# 2937) or "clover-green" (# 2934).

You can also take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions & they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.

  3. how about light yellow?

  4. grey

    paint the front door black.

  5. Maybe consider shades on either side to accent. While your brick may look redish, see if you can't find two other tones that would compliment.

  6. I Had The EXACT same problem i painted it a darkroyal blue color and it looks amazing

    Hope That Helps
