none of them are mine, they are all from wikipedia.com (heterochromia section)

are the most unusual things more attractive? or do we like things that are more common and what we are used to? (haha, that was the moral/idea behind this question)

The first one is pretty, also the green one.  Lots of people seem to always ooooo and ahhhh over blue eyes, but they are pretty common.  Green eyes are not as common.  I&#039;ve always gotten comments on my green eyes.  Maybe I&#039;m biased, but I love green eyes.

I really like the third one.. I find that one the most fascinating. To me, the first two aren&#039;t so beautiful because they aren&#039;t symmetrical (so i guess that means i adhere to the &#039;norms&#039; of attractiveness, because humans are supposed to find beauty in symmetry..)

3rd one scares me a bit, the 1st is my favourite. I&#039;ve always wanted to have eyes that colour, I&#039;m Asian so mine are brown and boring, haha.

I think if unusual things are striking in a positive way, something unique and delicate and elegant, we will normally be attracted to them. However, especially in the case with kids, when they&#039;re confronted with something unfamiliar and not too sightly, it scares them. Most of it is based on perspective though; everyone favours different things and it&#039;s really hard to put them into different classifications because people have such diverse tastes. :)

I like number 4.  But I actually don&#039;t think heterochromia is very attractive.  I guess it&#039;s because it *is* different.  My reasoning for not finding it attractive is because of symmetry.

I find that number 4 has the most symmetry, which is why I like it.
