Question:

Which family member (dead or alive) do you look most like?

I ask this question because I just found a picture of my great-great-grandmother and she looks creepily like my mother. Not as close as twins, but similar enough to be siblings or mother and daughter.

You just never know how the genes are going to fall. Have you ever stumbled upon an old photograph of a distant ancestor that looked a lot like you?

  1. MY MOTHER ONLY i AM NOT SO MUCH A HARPY AS SHE IS

  2. I don't look like any of my family members as such ( no i'm not adopted )

but my cousin has a uncanny resemblance to my mother, when i saw her  after years( she leaves abroad ), i couldn't believe what i was seeing even down to the frizzy hair type, height and build. I felt weird.

  3. My grandmother showed me a picture of a lady, when I was a child, that looked like me.  After my grandmother died this picture wasn't to be found so I don't know which relative of mine she was.

Sometimes a specific trait is passed down from generation to generation, even skipping a few.  My mother's side has a crooked little pinky finger.

  4. I look like my father's father. I do have an old photograph of my 4-times-great grandfather that looks EXACTLY like my grandmother (his great-great granddaughter), and they were born 96 years apart.

  5. My grandad always said I looked just like his sister, I never met her tho, so I had to take his word for it.

  6. Good question...

  7. I wish I knew...lol...

  8. Today at 63 I look like my grandfather looked to me when I was a kid.  Thank God I still have my hair, but I have his round face and his sagging nose.

  12. my grandma, the resemblance between us simply outstanding!

  13. If anything I look like my father. I found old photos of him when he was a child and the resemblance is uncanny. I have all of his features, nose, hair, eyes, and even shoe size(He wore a 7 1/2 and I wear the same). Have the same interests, exept I have the gift of music and he never did. As a matter of fact I am the only one on either side of the family that plays anything and has done something with it.

  14. Like my beautiful late mum, only not as beautiful she had a beautiful personality as well.

  15. while researching my family history,I stumbled onto the church of latter day saints, genealogy. I was amazed to find they had documents and photo's of my family that I  never knew existed,as they begon to come up on my screen,I was shocked to see my daughter's face among them in a copy of  a portrait of my  g-g-g-g-grandmother!, everyone is amazed when I show them.
