to start of i suppose the lions like it hard cos they are the no 1 tackling team at the moment prob the swans too as much as it pains me to say those two teams have learn their tackling from the rugby league

also mayby the tigers too who are no 1 in hard ball gets however they seem to loose their intensity at times through a match

interesting fact about them is if any player doesnt make a tackle during a game they will find themself playing for coburg on the next weekend

the second part of the question it it seems the faster sides like the blues ,dons and the dogs prefer pace and free flowing to the hard close in stuff

AFL isn't very physical.  I played it and Rugby as a kid and adult.  AFL is easy, compared to Rugby.

Melbourne Storm are physical and Melbourne Demons are not physical.

hawthorn play a very uncontested game but they still win.

they dont play the chip around uncotested game they play the free flowing attacking game

hawthron, essendon, sydney play phisical.

I would say adelaide crows like an uncontested game, along with geelong (but thats coz they are too good so nobody can catch them)

Eagles games are always pretty physical, swans tackle a lot so they are physical.

The pies, carlton and swans have some certain players who try to bash every third player they see!

Physical games - I believe Port, Brissy, Essendon. would be the pick. While uncontested- Freo, Richmond, Crows. be it. It really depends on the year the team performs. Many tears ago . Hawks, were a team of Physical ability. ( in the 80's) as the Pies.  ( back them though...everything goes ..fights or melees. very common. but the Rules have change since then.

The Bombers play a very physical game... they probably have the most of the ball and do the least with it!

It's a d**n shame that they can not convert their hard work into a decent score on the board!

I reckon Blues, Cats, Hawks, Kangas, Swans and WCE are all physical and the others are uncontested.
