You're asking the YA community so, what I feel is that electronics and communications is better. Since it has a very wide range that could also help the mechanical field, and we could mean of any fields, electronics really helps. Just that when it comes to money you better go on ME since PME's are highly paid, even in teaching career.

Mechanical is a stream in which there will be oppurtunities always. Elec is also such like hat but not as much as Mech. But regarding Salary it is preferable u choose Elec
