Regret, in 1915.

Regret was the first filly to win the Kentucky Derby in 1915.  Then Genuine Risk in 1980.  Then Winning Colors in 1988 under my favorite ever jockey, Gary Stevens!

Now has anyone seen the film "The Man from Snowy River"

And if so, have you caught the reference to Regret's first foal and last foal being bought by Jessica's father. It is a great horse movie that has a sad twist of fate in it.
