Comodo is the best firewall out there. But there are issues regarding its ease of use. If you want a firewall without HIPS I would suggest Netveda otherwise you can look at Online armor or Outpost.

Zonealarm is not recommended.

However all these firewalls will provide you a reasonable security so that you needn't be worried.

Hi

You can just stick with Windows Firewall. It provides adequate inbound protection, which is all you need provided you have proper protection (e.g. real-time antivirus + HIPS + sandbox).

If you want an easy to use firewall with outbound protection as well, I would recommend Sunbelt Firewall, PC Tools Firewall or maybe NetVeda.

If you want a firewall (inbound and outbound) as well as a HIPS, then I would use Online Armor. Comodo Firewall offers excellent protection, but it's very tricky to use (i.e. it has too much pop ups). Dynamic Security Agent is also an option.

You have to decide which one suits you. For example, if you already use a HIPS (such as ThreatFire) then you would not need Online Armor, Comodo or DSA.

Zone Alarm is the best firewall. I will not support comodo.
