  3. I think to get a real answer hear you have to define the term swim.   Considering that fish need their caudal fin to navigate they can't actually swim backwarks.   However, they can hold their tails in place and use their pectoral fins to move backwards, but I wouldn't call it swimming.

    I would think that the most obvious answer to your question would be the sharks.  Since they use their pector fins for steering but not for forward/backward they would have a tough time going backwards.
