  1. Championship Point last week at Chester. He may not have a group 1 in him but is sure to win more Group 3's & deffo one to watch.

I also saw a 3 year old called Duntulm win the 1st race on 2000 Guineas Day. He completely missed the break but finished like an express train.

  2. thats a question i dont suppose i will ever iron out

  3. yes i do agree with you to an extent and it will be intresting to see henrythenavigator take on new approach whom i like alot at the curragh

i also think muthabara might improve as we didnt really see what he is capable of.

iam still a big fan of natagora and would have to side with her.

only time will tell about henrythenavigator and if he really is derby potential ?

  4. My new horseskin rug, it's pretty flat.

  5. just wait until the Aussie raider Takeover target gets to ascot for the sprint races...... now thats a horse!!!!!!

  6. I would also like to say Natagora in agreement with Des.

I also thought Spacious ran a spectacular race against the winner in the 1,000 Guineas, but did you note Nahoohd who came fifth she was flying at the finish with nowhere to go as Natagora had the lead on the rail.  She is aimed at the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot for her next race, the same path as Natagora, but she doesn't like the ground to be soft.

I was, however, very impressed with the french colt Getaway who ran at Newmarket on 1,000 guineas day this year.

He is by Monsun who is the sire of Manduro who ran away with the Prince of Wales Stakes at Ascot last year beating Dylan Thomas (who went on to win the Arc).  Snatched up by Godolphin (what horse isn't these days!!) after injuring himself in a race in France he is now at stud.

I was at Newmarket the day that Getaway ran and he looked the pick of the paddock by far.  In the race he beat Sixties Icon by 3 and a quarter lengths with Galactic Star in third and he was just cruising.

Getaway is my choice and he may run again at the Epsom meeting in June or at Royal Ascot in the Hardwicke Stakes.....My money will be on him again.

  7. big brown is the real deal! he will go on and win the triple crown...

  8. sounds like youre from aussie country,  dont know any of the horses there but do watch international racing.

  9. Well i'm going for a horse that has only had the 1 run this season, Curtain Call, should have raced at Ascot last Saturday but bypassed this and is going straight for The Derby.

I think it's current price is around 14/1 but i expect it to be a little shorter on the day, it's a bay colt from France out of Sadlers Wells and it's reported to be a very useful animal, nothing is a certainty as we all know but thi should very good EW claims if not better.

A horse that has slightly dissapointed me is New Approach but i think it got caught napping and should have won really although Henrythenavigator battled well, maybe New Approach can come back at Epson ?

Good luck in all your punting.
