  1. The best way to save money is to purchase some realistic orchid stems from your local Hobby Lobby, Joanns fabrics and crafts or, Michaels type stores and ask your florist to encorporate them into your bouquets and table arrangements...Chances are you'll save big and no one will be the wiser.

  2. The asiatic Lily would be less expensive and more readily available, but as others have said your biggest cost is the cymbidiums.  Do you have a florist?  Go to your florist and ask her to help you stay in your budget - we can often help brides with their budgets.  And the first place I would look to change to conserve money would not be the brides bouquet - that should be the last place to change.

Also you could consider the mini cymbid if you want the sunflowers or Lilies to be the focal and the cymbid to be an accent.

Dahlias are seasonal in the summer/fall time not spring as someone else suggested.

If you want the lime green color - try green roses, green ranuculus or green hypericum - all of these come in a bright green are seasonal to spring

  3. Sunflowers are out of season is spring, so they look bad and cost a lot.  Asiatic lilies (the kind you like) are always the same cost and always look the same.

Cymbidiums are pricey, but you don't need much, so it won't be bad.

I would also suggest looking into dalias if you like the sunflower look.  It would be pretty and seasonal.

  4. I don't think the difference between lily and sunflower would be substantial enough to sacrifice one for the other.

I would go with the lily.  While I love sunflowers, I think the lily would look classier with the orchids and lilac.

Edit* looks like an asiatic lily,  I still say go with the lily.

  5. The expensive flower is the orchids.  That's whats going to cost the most.  So as most of the flowers are the same flowers and I assume same amounts, that's a minimal difference.  What kind of lily?  Sunflowers are cheaper than lilies in general but it's probably not substantial.
