Which flowering perennials bloom second half of the year and are self seeding and like filtered shade?

preferably taller ones also would be nice?

when exactly do they bloom, which colours and for how long?

  2. You've chosen a very difficult brief!

    Most self seeders rely heavily on sun, flower madly and then set seed.  

    However, I do have some foxgloves still in flower in my garden - although that is a bit late.  You could try ligularia - yellow daisies which don't seem to mind dappled shade, and flower from mid-summer.

    I grow leycesteria formosa in dappled shade, which does really well.

    And I have seen some gorgeous pink tall pink pea like plants, which I was told was a weed.  Called Himalayan balsam, I think.
