Which font is FIA Formula 1 using on the TV broadcast?

They are using a new font since the 2008 season. It's kind of squared at the edges. Looks very nice.

It's more than likely a special font created and used just for them.  A lot of big companies are doing this (and have been for quite some time) so that no one can copy their logos without getting into trouble for infringing on their trademarks.  That also includes sanctioning bodies creating their own logos and fonts.  Most of the time the people who broadcast the races will have to pay royalties to the trademark holder to use their logos in the broadcast.  Those of us in the vinyl business have to follow their rules as well, even if we are doing a car or whatever for whomever holds that trademark.
